SO!

I has bosoms and needed a dress for my brother's wedding. I got this dress which was GAWJUS and fit me like a sexy glove ( photo heavy review by me). It is sleeveless though. I would convo Jane BonBon and see if she can give you sleeves.

How close are you to NYC? Can you come up with an excuse to go?

Re/Dress NYC and Lee Lee's Valise are plus size shops (size 12 and up) that I can recommend wholeheartedly. Re/Dress sells used, vintage and new items. It's run by a friend of mine Deb who is INSANELY AWESOME. Lee Lee's is all new clothing and also awesome.

OH

A wrap around cardigan and knee high boots help with the warmth.

Oh man, that IS gorgeous and it looks amazing on you. I'm definitely checking out that dress and her other designs. The cardigan/boots thing is genius btw.

I adore NY and would love to make a trip up there (I'm in DC) but I probably can't by the wedding. HOWEVER. Dude. Next time I'm there? I'm totally checking out those stores.

Thank you so much! :D :D :D

My other brilliant suggestion is wrap dresses. True wrap (that opens all the way up) is going to be better than a faux wrap (where it's stiched together). Faux wrap dress may require a wide belt to emphasize your waist. Wrap dresses look amazing on figures with big bosoms and a smaller waist. If too much cleavage is showing, a cami or silk long underwear tank (like winter silks or cuddle silks) will keep you mega warm and the boobsplosion under control ( ... )

Okay. I have large boobs too. And while I don't suggest this dress (cause it's vintage) in terms of colour/pattern (not for a wedding. I adore it, but not for a wedding), this cut is something that you can look for:

(Warning: myspace camwhore angle, and my cleavage. Ignore it)

BUT.

3/4 length sleeves. Cross over bodice with a camisole underneath for extra warmth. The skirt is just below knee-length and looks rocking with kneehigh boots. Waistband just below boobs, allowing the dress to show that yes, I am big but I do actually have a waist.

Comfortable, practical. If you got it made in a silk jersey, you'd be laughing.

OMG, I love that dress!!! But yes, not right for a wedding :). Right for anything else though! I love the pattern, it's so fun (and really, cleavage is pretty much what I'm going for in a dress). I'm definitely looking into cuts like that. Thanks!

Ok, I was going to suggest you talk to the first commenter here. And then she was already here.

Ha! I remembered talking to her about a custom dress she wore at wincon, so I was hoping she'd have something to say. :D

I have massive amounts of love for this store: http://www.igigi.com/

They have little "body shape" things for every dress that helps people find something that will look ok on them. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess "inverted triangle" for you. They sell some really gorgeous separates too.

OOOOOOoooooo. Wow, like, every one of those is gorgeous. *drools* I already saw two I'd love for this event.

I'm totally bookmarking every single one of these sites for the future. Y'all are hooking me up with some awesome shops that I want clothes from for EVERYTHING. *high5*

Huh. Everything from Igigi looks like CRAP on my hourglass figure. It's aggravating because my friend Lesley (who has a butternut squash shaped figure) looks awesome in their stuff.

I really liked the polka-dot dress on you, but I can see how the shinyness could be offputting.

Massive amounts of love for Lesley's red tights. I'm going to have to suck it up and order from Jessica London to get some of those.

www.zaftique.com. It's where I got this. I'm pretty sure they do size 16.

Okay, so, no lie? I found at least a dozen dresses on this site that I want IMMEDIATELY. Including the one you bought! What color did you get it in? GORGEOUS. It's so beautiful and classy.

*clapclap* I've seen zaftique stuff before but never bought from them. I suspect their stuff will make my top 5. THANK YOU, BB!!!

Ha! *wins* :D

I got it in eggplant. It looks SO GOOD with my skin, and I've got these awesome four(!!!!)-inch heels that make my legs look, like, miles long. Next time I wear it, I'll make sure and get pictures, I forgot to when I wore it for graduation.

One warning, Zaftique sizing is generous so go down. That said I have an AMAZING pink dress from them. It's like this one but pink polka dotted. Every time I wear it, everyone is all "GIRRRL you look hot"
