For the 2-3 people who also watch this show

In honor of the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend finale tonight, my Top 5 Rebecca Bunch songs:

1. Tell Me I'm Okay - This is, in my opinion, one of Rachel Bloom's loveliest vocal performances, and the song is quietly devastating. (Also, her scene partner here is Seth Green.)

2. Strip Away Your Conscience - I love this sexy, silly, Fosse-inspired seduction. ( Read more... )

I'm so in love with this show. Discovered it only a few months ago and I think I have not felt this fannish about a show in ages.
I'm listening to the songs all the time! It's just such a treasure of wonderful numbers.

I'm also pretty much Team Nathaniel though I have a soft spot for Greg. I wish they'd go for a poly ending. I'm pretty sure it will be none of them instead of all of them though.

I'm sad it's over. I hope Rachel Bloom is going to continue to be awesome and producive.

I am going to miss it so much. There's just nothing else like it at all on TV.

For the first two seasons I was Team Greg, and for the last two, Team Nathaniel. I like New!Greg, but I don't think he has the same chemistry with Rachel Bloom that the original actor did, and I feel like that relationship seemed to sort of run its course this season. While I've never been Team Josh, I do feel like this season made the best argument for him - some of his scenes with Rebecca have been really sweet. But she and Nathaniel have the best chemistry, and he's changed so much! I'm already pre-heartbroken for him.

I'm looking forward to whatever Rachel Bloom does next.

It just goes to show how many great songs there are in the series that there's some overlap with my favorites here, but there's a couple that wouldn't be anywhere near my top 10 (Research Me Obsessively is fun, but non-essential; Love Kernels is one that's on lots of "Best Of" lists, but I've never warmed up to it.)

It's sad when we have to say goodbye to one of our favorites.

Ah well, at least it got to run for as long as its creators originally planned. That's better than most shows get.
