Ranting about The X-Files like it's 1999

So, the current season of The X-Files is actually...good? I know, I can't believe it either! I would put episodes two and four up with some of the best of the series, especially ep 4, written by Darin Morgan. Episode three was a little rougher around the edges, but still enjoyable, and included ( spoilers )

I am so sad that the next episode of The Good Place is the season finale.
It is?? That's terrible. :( it's just the loveliest, silliest show.

I'd recommend Dirk Gently if you have never seen that? Insane, but enjoyable. We are halfway through S2 and I love everyone and everything to tiny pieces. It may be an acquired taste though, it's... very odd.

On the one hand, I know that The Good Place benefits from the tight structure of a thirteen episode season, but on the other hand, I feel like I could watch it every single week and still enjoy it.

I have watched Dirk Gently! And I liked it, too. It belongs to the category of shows where I watched several episodes, liked it, missed one episode, and never watched it again. My attention span is tragically short. I should check and see if it's streaming on Netflix or Hulu.

Same here. It's just so adorable.

LOL. We binge watched S1 as a family Christmas 2016, and are now catching up on S2 as it's only just appeared on Netflix over here. So it... ought to be on Netflix for you?
