Hot Topic has a new line of Buffy merchandise, including Spike and Angel T-shirts. The Spike shirt features Buffy and the Angel shirt does not, so even though there's nothing at all shippy about it, I'm still going to think of this shirt as being one of the all-too-rare pieces of Spuffy-friendly licensed merchandising. My delusions make me happy.

I came into the Stephanie Plum series late (two years ago) and I find that they can be tiring and repetitive but I am still enjoying the series. I am probably still enjoying the series because the books only come out once a year, so it is like visiting a goofy cousin, you enjoy a few laughs then you don't have to deal with her for another year. The thing that gets me about the seres is that because of the comedy nature of the books, I feel that the series will probably never end and we won't get any closure. For now, that's OK.

Heee, that's an accurate description. The fact that the books do only come out once a year, and they're certainly not a big time investment, is probably one of the reasons I keep reading. I would, someday, like to see some progression in the character arcs. I know she doesn't want to mess up the successful chemistry she's created, but keeping the characters in stasis doesn't make for very interesting storylines.
