oaksong   mentioned a fantastic new word in his journal today:  petrichor.  I immediately followed the link he provided and snapped up its defination.

Petrichor (from Greek petros, stone + ichor) is the scent of rain on dry earth; more specifically, it is the name of the organic oil that yields this scent. The term was coined by two Australian researchers ( Read more... )

This workspace is only neat because it serves double duty as our dining table.

Okay. You win.

It all looks so productive.

To be fair, my space looks much like your's right now... I spent the day doing bills and handling some complicated finances so I have papers, empty diet pepsi cans, empty cigarette packs and etcetera strewn everywhere. In fact, there are receipts scattered around my feet like leaves in October.

A post-it note fan, eh? I hate them. I lose them. Or maybe they hate me and they hide.
