I want to see you this July when I come to San Diego for the Comicon and Gay Pride!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt like such a dumbass last year when I got home and went, "hey, I DO know someone in San Diego". Don't let me be a dumbass (pronounced Duma') and forget. I'll be there from the 23rd to the 28th or so.

Cool! And you can help me remember to actually get to Comicon. I've yet to attend, mainly because in previous years I simply did not think I could survive walking all over the Convention Center, and I never got my act together in time to rent an electric scooter. But this year I think I'm actually in good enough shape that I could hold up to the walking. And it would be nice to have someone to wander round the con with--besides the major niceness of seeing you again!

As an added incentive--for Pride, my church has a tradition of renting one of those trackless trolleys used by the tour companies, and running it as a float in the parade. It holds about 30 people and we fill it--plus additional UUs from the whole area following along on foot. Rockstar Parade Service! If you come, I'll save a seat for you on the trolley! :-)

I recommend pre-registering for the Comicon because its cheaper and it saves literally hours on getting in. I'll gladly walk the convention center with you, I'll have a pass for the whole event, but I think I'll probably only spend a couple of days there, because last year I missed out on seeing almost anything else in San Diego (except the Gaslight district for food, cause my honey is gluten intolerant so there was nothing at the Con he could eat).

The Hotel situation this year was going to be maddening due to them pushing back the Con by a week so that it coincided with Pride, so we booked a suite to share with friends at the Parkside Manor Suites next to Balboa park, so we wouldn't be too far away from the Con and we would have a front row seat for Pride :-) But NOW a Trolley ride too! I'm in geek heaven.
