I'm so glad! This was a fun spot of self-indulgence for me and I'm thrilled (and a bit surprised!) other people liked it!

Aw, thank you! They're so easy to write, and so flexible, it's always a joy to see what they do when I let them loose. *grin*

He paused just once, as he spotted the window of Kal Starr's room, filled with golden lamplight, in the distance. Then he turned away and kept going. That time was over. He would find the elusive Clark Kent when Cobblepot was defeated, would make amends. But he would not be seeing Kal again.
Oh Bruce. *hugs him*

“It’s a trap!” yelled the boy. “Run, get away!”
Oh no!

He would never find Clark Kent and apologize.
He would never see Kal again.

Beyond thought, beyond hope, he fell toward it.
YES!

Clark glanced at the bloodstained piece of paper, then shoved it at him, barking, ”Get this to Princess Diana at once! It’s of the utmost importance, man!”

Clark smiled down at him. “I’m faster than you think.”
He is. :)

Oh Bruce. *hugs him*

Poor Bruce! He was pretty "bad" (romance-hero-bad) in this series, so he had to suffer a bit. :)

And awwww, I'm so glad you liked that moment of realization! I'm never able to resist moments of ambiguous language like that "He'll never let you go." :)

And writing ALL THE KIDS being happy in their new home, and Bruce and Clark being like "Well, I guess we have a family!" was so much fun! I'm glad you liked it too! *dances*

Absolutely delightful. I'm so glad Bruce and Clark found their way back to each other, with a huge family to boot!

I couldn't resist the P&P reference! This version of Jason is like "Wait, can I MEET this author?" and Bruce totally arranges it and Jason gets all tongue-tied and embarrassed. :)
