Sigh. I just got off work and I'm dead tired. My hard work will all pay off soon. My company just posted the position opening for MIT (manager-in-training) for my store. I work for Smart Wireless and am currently a sales rep. - aka - those annoying cellphone people at the mall. Everyone knows that I have done more than my share of work at my ( Read more... )

Good luck on the mit but you probably won't even need it since you'll get it anyways, I'm sure of it. I hope you do find that someone you can love that'll be there for you. Actually I'm positive any guy would love to be with you. You just got to find the one that'll love and care for you. Aside from that go have fun this weekend like you said, relax and just have fun. No one deserves it more than you do. Other than that, I wish you the best of luck on whatever you do. Remember put a smile on your face once in a while, you never know who's day you'll be making better and plus life is complicated and stressful so smile =). Pretty sure everyone wants to see you happy. Oh yeah, you remember what you said right? "Love is not something that happens on first sight. It happens when you start knowing each other and in turn, end up needing each other, for every feeling, for every thought, and for every moment." Just a reminder. Bye for now.

I vaguely remember your journal entries but I can definately say you've grown up and matured (I can tell by your writing style and what you have to say). I empathize with the failure bit as I had similar dealings with school and my own parents. It's almost like they frown because they don't have something to boast about to their friends. UGHH! I say live your life according to your schedule, whether it means school later or now. I know you'll be fine.

Thanks. I feel like I kinda know what I'm doing. But at the same time, yes my parents and family are frowning on my because I am not in school right now. I went to the funeral and a lot of distant family members asked where i went to school and how i was doing, and I didn't know what to say because I wasn't going to school. My family always compare me to other people like my cousin whos' now 25 and has never stopped going to school and me at my age has already stopped to take a break from it. It's okay though, I guess it's fine because in the end i'll be okay because i do plan on going back. =)

Don't you just hate the comparison thing? It's like something EVERY asian family does. Schooling gives you the typical background/security but it's not a final guarantee. My 32 year old sister has a university degree, art diploma, and now she's going for her MBA... BUT she's constantly moving from contract job to another. There's just no guarantee. This isn't to dissuade formal education because it does help, but I guess in this day and age Asian parents should realize it's not the end all. I mean, it's not like you don't have a good head on your shoulders. Like you said, you are planning to go back. Luckily for you, you're still young so I don't want you to stress over it too much.
