I've had a holiday idea that I have wanted to do for years upon years.

So today I girded myself with a hockey shapka and braved the stores.

My stepfather used to decorate our palm trees in the front yard with lights every year when he was alive! My husband thought about it, but didn't do it.

Looks like you got LED lights too, very green of you! I bought LEDs for my fake tree this year, trying to keep it green.

It's not a green-on-purpose thing so much as a "that's all they had left at the store" thing. I find I like them better though, they've a blue tint instead of the yellow one the old incandescent-style bulbs have. And they don't get hot.
