Aw. Favorite things should just not leave, k. *clings to them* I can especially relate to losing a place from your childhood. :( Also, I LOVE colorful houses and colorful cars and colorful EVERYTHING, I automatically like the people who own those things too. :D

I know! It wouldn't be so bad if I just had some warning. Especially for the restaurant. The end of Psych was announced not long ago and I can always watch re-runs and as I said I suspected the house might get painted because it was being sold. But I would have liked to know about the restaurant before it closed. I've been eating there nearly all my life. It was one of my family's favourite places to eat and it's a great place to bring friends and show off practice my Spanish. It would have been nice to be able to enjoy their food one last time and say good-bye to the staff.

Also, I LOVE colorful houses and colorful cars and colorful EVERYTHINGIt's not the colourfulness for me so much. Working with fibers over the last few years and playing with their colours and colour schemes, I can appreciate all sorts of colours. I used to hate yellow, but some shades I'm beginning to like with certain colours. I've ( ... )

I know what you mean about change. I'm the same way.

Congrats on the spelling of "tchotchkes." I usually can't spell it, so I just make it up.

I don't always hate change. These are just ones that have come up lately that have been kinda sucky.

Oh, I totally looked it up. I mean, I knew it had a weird spelling with silent "t"'s and "ch"'s in places you didn't expect them to be. I think it's one of those Yiddish words where they use a totally different script and a single symbols, when translated to the English alphabet, will end up having several different spellings. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was a mash-up of words from different languages.

I've been missing from LJ world until recently. Glad to see a friend still here!

- See? Not so much change... :) :P

But anyway, I too, hate change. It's so upsetting. I lost my mom and dad, my pets, my job, and now about to flunk out of school. (All since last three years.) I only hope all this change is essential for something great to come. *Hope*

I will have to check out Psych, even though it is ending. You framed it so nicely. At the very least I'd love to check out Cary Elwes as guest. :)

I've definitely had quite a few friends fall off of LJ, or de-friend me. Part of it is my own doing, since I didn't sign on in nearly a year. In my defense, I was going through a lot in real life. In any case, it's nice to see a "familiar face" here, so to speak.

As I told blue_eye, I don't hate change, I don't always hate change. I just hate when it sucks. And it sounds like you've had some really sucky change in the last few years. I'm really sorry to hear about that, especially about losing your parents. And I definitely agree, hope is essential, though it can be hard sometimes.

Psych is great! I think the series is on Netflix, definitely seasons 1-7. I'm sure season 8 (the current season) will be available soon. Elwes's episodes were always full of twists, but a lot of fun, and of course he was great in the role. You'll definitely enjoy checking it out.
