My mother would not sleep until said snake was properly found, caught, and disposed of. I admire your calm attitude...!

Yes,I think you are certainly entitled to "lurking."
Actually, it sounds kinda tame compared to what the older females in my
home might use. I really like them better under glass or outside,too. Snakes, that is, not the females.
