[CHAPTER 3]
Ji Yool and I stayed up talking that night about how she wanted to decorate her new room. She wanted to stay home for the move, but I told her that taking off Tuesday would be better; Junsu would help me.
Monday came; I made Ji Yool breakfast and she left for the bus as Junsu arrived.
"Great, you didn't pack the coffee pot, it smells good. How are you Min?"
"A little sad and a little giddy. Yunho was here."
"Are you serious?" Junsu's eyes were wide; his tone annoyed.
"Explain!" Junsu took a sip and groaned.
"He showed up on Friday. He heard about Seo Hyun."
"He heard there was room to move back and destroy you."
"That's a little dramatic Junsu." I said.
"Dramatic? I remember Seo Hyun saving you from Yunho. Do you have memory problems? How many times did he promise to leave his wife for you?"
"She was sick, he couldn't."
"I don't trust him. Please don't do this Shim Changmin!"
The doorbell rang; the movers rescued me from a conversation that Junsu was determined to win. Junsu was right; Yunho and I weren't together because he was married, and his parents couldn’t accept that their only son is gay. We spent every second he could give me, but it wasn't enough. I was twenty-six and I loved him desperately. It ended when I met Seo Hyun. She is a woman, she can give a birth to a child -my child, and a child would make my parents happy. And the main point was she had no strings attached to anyone; Yunho and I had been together five years with no future in sight. Yunho said that he wanted a divorce, but his wife -Ji Hyun was diagnosed with breast cancer. He couldn't leave her and I couldn't wait. It was perfect, wasn’t it? That was nine years ago. Seo Hyun was my life saviour. Yet Yunho was my soul mate, my one and only love.
The move kept us busy and Junsu didn't mention Yunho’s name anymore. At three, I left to pick up Ji Yool. She was excited and ran into her new room the second we walked in the door. All of the furniture was in place. Junsu and I cleaned everything, but there were still boxes everywhere.
"Where's the wine Min?" Junsu flung his body onto the sofa and kicked his shoes onto the floor. "I'm exhausted."
"You're the best friend anyone could have. I'll find it." I found a box and opened it. There were bottles wrapped in tissue. "All we need now is a cork screw."
"Got one in the car, I'll be right back." Junsu flew out the front door. Ji Yool walked into the living room.
"Appa, I feel sad. Umma will never see our new place."
"She sees it right now. I know she's happy for us." We hugged until Junsu came back. My eyes were misty.
"Yah! No gloom tonight, let's orders food. Pizza or Chinese, Ji Yool?" Junsu asked.
"Pizza." she answered immediately. I used my cell to order.
"Ji Yool, why don't you figure out where you want to do your homework? We'll have dinner when it comes; you and I have a lot to do tomorrow."
Junsu poured two glasses of wine and my cell rang. I walked into the bathroom to talk to Yunho. I told him to call back in a few hours.
"Don't tell me it was Yunho." Junsu took a sip.
"Yes."
"Please be careful, Changmin. You've had a rough year and Ji Yool needs you to be sane. Remember how crazed you were when you couldn't have him." Junsu was pouring himself a second glass. "Also remember who was there through it all. I haven't forgotten."
"This time will be different. I'm older and wiser and Ji Yool will always be my priority. I won't make you go through that again."
