Now, I love this movie, so if you think you might be upset by seeing Jesus with hippie hair or Judas in a very cool orange hippie suit then I wouldn't go look at the icons. what is the movie about exactly???? i am an atheist and don't watch movies dealing with jesus,but the superstar part has me curious. ;)

I'm athiest as well. Or as my grandma likes to say "non-religious". Its a rock opera about the last hours of Jesus. Some Christians don't like the fact that Jesus is a little rockish. Not that I think he is....Its from 1973, or 72. It's full of quite strange stuff. Most everyone is a hippie. I became obsessed when I was in the 4th grade. It might sound strange, but it beats all classics out as my favorite movie of all time. It's not a too serious thing. It seems that most of the people making the film were high doing so. It's just fun. If you get a chance, it's a strange movie. It's not too deep. Nothing too religious. If you watch it, don't watch the new one. Go for the hippie version. I also know every single word from the film. I love it. Sorry for rambling.

*SQUEE!!!* Jesus Christ Superstar!!! I'm grabbing number 13...one of my favourite songs in the whole thing. Carl Anderson's voice was so...amazing. May I add "R.I.P. Carl Anderson" to it? Very small letters at the bottom...

yes. I love him in JCS. Thats why most of the icons are him. And "Too Much Heaven On Their Minds" is my favorite song from the film.

Such a great movie. I was lucky enough to get to see Carl Anderson, the Judas from the movie, when I saw the tour of the musical in Philly a year ago...he has since died, and a very close friend of my mom's is now playing Judas/

I love JCS. I might steal one of the Judas ones; he is such an awesome character. I actually wrote a paper about him for my American Musical class....good times. I'll definitely credit if I do!
