Mike and I celebrated prematurely by going out to dinner last night in downtown Ferndale, around 5:00, after we voted. We wanted to think positive thoughts and neither of us wanted to sit around the house waiting for the election results to start coming in. El likes to toy with me, so she woke me up this morning looking all disappointed and said "Well, guess who's the president" and my heart sank. But I said "Obama" anyway, and she said "Yes!"

I was very relieved. :)

And there I was trying to be all quiet so I wouldn't wake you! I was so tempted to stand out on the porch and yell, "YES!" at the top of my lungs!

McCain conceded before 11:30!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like the perfect night (especially since I got a prezzie!).

I drank almost a whole bottle of wine because I couldn't handle it. I refused to watch the news or look at projections. I wrote instead. After my NaNo word count was done and my speech was slurring, according to my husband, I watched Indecision 2008.

I love those guys.
