Crabs

I know it's about time for crab season so for all you bay area people, please recommend where I can buy live crab for cheap or restaurants that makes good grab for less than $25. I really just can't spend $30 on one grab. Please give recommendations except for places like Crustacean and etc.

Give me CRAB!

to get fresh crab cheaply, you can either go to a decent chinese restaurant and order it up (ginger and scallions, my favorite!) or go to one of the chinatowns, buy a few and cook them at home; it's not that hard. that way you can have crab 1 or 2 different ways.

my dad likes S&T Restaurant but that's only because it's close to grandma's house: http://www.yelp.com/biz/s-and-t-hong-kong-seafood-restaurant-san-francisco

Swans Oyster bar might be pushing your budget, though you can get their pre-cooked crabs to go.

And don't forget that you can always act like a tourist and go down to Fisherman's Wharf, pick a street vendor, and get your crab that way. Sometimes even the crab salad at around $8-12 hits the spot.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try out S&T if I'm in that area.
Fisherman wharf is a great option except for the tourist and the horrendous parking. I wonder if AAA still gives you two free hours of parking at the garage...hmm....
