 Dear みんなさん,

I have just finished watching the "Last Glass" of the J-Drama バテンダ, starring the very cute 相葉雅紀 - Aiba Masaki and......... WHAT A MASSIVE LET DOWN!

So disappointing. The series only went for eight episodes, so I figured that at the end there would be come kind of big confessional speech from one of the two main leads about their ( Read more... )

God i forgot about this drama.I was watching it for Aiba (he is one of my biases) but I stopped watching it because I couldn't find subs.

"Is it because Aiba is in an idol band that he can't be seen to be romantically involved, even when he's playing another character on television?"
Not really.Matsumoto Jun from the same band actually based his career on this kind of roles. That's why he was the most popular member of the group in the beginning.Maybe the manga also (the drama is based on a manga) didn't have any romantic scene betweet the protagonists.
I'll disagree with you about Kanjiya.I love her and she is a great actress.Watch Buzzer Beat and you will love her too!

Makes sense. I haven't read the manga for any of the live-action dramas (except for Hana yori Dango, and though I liked the manga, I didn't like the drama. Hm) so I will one day have to get around to that. ^_^ I'm not sure if Bartender is based on a manga, but I know that Yamada Tarou is, so maybe in the manga there was no romance... 面白いですね... interesting... thanks for the info ^_^

And I will put Buzzer Beat on my list to watch - I was just reading the summary on wiki.d-addicts and it sounds really funny!

Bartender is based on a manga. But I've read somewhere that the drama is very different.
Buzzer Beat is a nice drama and quite enjoyable.I loved the female lead and her friend(who is Kanjiya's role).
