Okay, there hasn't been any fictional content on here in forever, so... meme.
Tell me about a story I haven't written, and I'll give you between one and three sentences from that story.
For these purposes, yes, you can tell me about stories you don't think I'd ever write in the fandoms you know I can cover. Just know that if you describe the Roy ( Read more... )

Hm, how about something from the one where John, Teyla, Rodney and Ronon come back to Atlantis from a mission to find a whole bunch of guns trained on them because suddenly no one knows who the hell they are?

"What is wrong with you people?!?" Rodney seethed. "Go get someone whose brains weren't issued to them by the Department of Defense and purchased from the lowest bidder."

"Not helping, McKay," John sighed, not taking his eyes off of where Sergeant Damante Francis had his rifle pointed straight at John's center of mass. Sergeant Francis, alive and well along with Olivet, standing nearby with his P90 trained on Teyla, and Gunny Aguilla and Big Brian Maguire standing behind them at the foot of the stairs. Everyone alive and unharmed apparently because there was no John Sheppard in this universe to sacrifice them to save AtlantisTeyla was still trying to make eye contact with Tiny Hernandez (naturally, the largest of the three Hernandezes originally deployed to Pegasus), who was one of her most determined stick-fighting students back in their version of Atlantis, but he was having none of it ( ... )

For some reason, LJ decided not to send me the notification till very recently...

I like this! I always like the little things you put in, like Tiny Hernandez being the largest of the Hernandezes and Ronon's well-camouflaged cache. Confusion and intrigue, along with that dash of angst (you just had to make me go read the Jenny Code again, didn't you :(). Although, this just makes me want a whole big story, even if you did manage to put your own spin on the 3-4 sentences part of the meme, Ms. Prolix ;D I'm not complaining though.

The alarm went off at 1343. The engineers in the control room identified the location by 1345 and Aaron had marines dispatched by 1346 despite being on patrol out on the other side of the city because being in the gateroom playing Pac Man for eight hours was just too much ( ... )

Thank you!! What a wonderful treat...it's like an early Christmas present. I enjoy reading about your OCs. Any chance this will be expanded? Really, really like the line, "...because Engineering as a group had the most practice in both setting fires and evacuating safely from them before putting them out." Anne

The stargate program goes public. The Pentagon decides that Lorne is the SGC poster boy to use in the initial publicity effort. Lorne is none too happy about that....

"... makeup, then we'll run you through the schedule again. You'll be brought on to the set between segments two and three."

Lorne had been nodding dumbly in response to the perky (aggressive, patronizing) PA, but froze. "Makeup?"

She looked at him blankly. "Uh, yeah?"

Lorne held up his hands. "I don't need makeup. I'm not an actor." I don't even want to be here...

The PA's eyes rolled. "You're a pale white guy with bags under his eyes. You'll look like a corpse under the lights and that's hardly the message we want to send now, is it?"

It wasn't, but that did not make it any less truthful.

"The Stargate Program was founded in 1996, although it had been operating prior to that under--"

"Daniel."

"Yes, Jack?"

"Why are you telling me all of this? I was there."

"Not officially," Daniel replied primly, adjusting his glasses. Which Jack half-suspected he was wearing instead of his contacts entirely to look even more nerdy than usual. If such was possible. "Officially, you were a reservist and a paid consultant of a no-longer-extant aviation firm. So, officially, you now need to be read into the Stargate Program."

Jack rubbed his face with his hands. "How long is this briefing scheduled for?"

"Three hours, with the option of a fourth if you have questions."

"That's long enough to order a pizza and watch both High Noon and Blazing Saddles. How about we do that instead ( ... )
