* Last week's snowstorm was a damp squib -- it snowed, but it didn't stick, except for that brand-new patch right next to my domicile that is now icy and treacherous despite halite. So I take this with cautious skepticism (and a genuine feeling of 'sick of this already'):

Yoni....and Ros.

I need a drink.

And then go to a fight, just to see if a hockey game breaks out.

Oh wait, they don't do that anymore.

I need another drink.

I'm not sure why you need a drink, but go ahead.

Friday's snow seemed to stop at the Hudson River - Bergen County got socked with about 6-8 inches!
I'm hearing different reports about the predicted snow accumulations for tom night/Wednesday, but the lowest I heard was over 7 inches...I just hope the sanitation dept gets their act together a whole heck of a lot better than they did a few weeks ago.

This morning, the meteorologist on 880 said "12-20 inches" and the news guy on Bloomberg, reading from the NWS website said "maybe 5-9" and neglected to look at what it said for tomorrow, too.

It's better than the weather lady on CBS at 7:15 yesterday morning. She was talking about accumulation totals and STANDING IN FRONT OF NY & NJ on the map...

Holy hell, wtf is up with the NHL superheroes? That's painful, cringe-worthy bad. If a hockey superhero existed, it would look like Don Cherry post-polar bear plunge, with missing teeth.

My prediction for the Red Wings is a Hawkman in red.

Detroit should be so lucky to get Hawkman in red. He'll probably be some weird tie-in to the auto industry and all about urban renewal and his power will be to talk to engines.

If Detroit's superpower isn't related to arson in some way, I will be very disappointed.

OK the bit about your attempt at a drabble amuses me. What can I say, my sense of humor is somewhat random.

On the weather front, it could be worse. We got a tornado that hopscotched across two counties out of it, well that and a couple of days w/out power. (tornados and 70+mph wind gusts are apparently bad for electrical poles, gooo figure)

Gee ain't nature grand ! :)

I had not heard of The Guardian Project and now sincerely regret that I have learned of it. Ignorance is so much bliss in this case. And my respect for Stan Lee, such as it was, has done nothing but gone downhill. Stripperella was the tip of the iceberg but this is just the breaking point.

In more hockey-releated news: my team is so confident about how well they'll fair against your team tomorrow that we're sending in the backup :D As a relief for Luongo, he's been absolutly stellar and I'd like to see him continue that. I'm sorry, but as much as I enjoy your writing, it's *war* when it comes to hockey ;)

If you can find joy in your top-ranked team beating up on my injury-riddled, not-predicted-to-make-the-playoff squad, then so be it. Regardless of the results, I can keep my heart warm with the lovely memories of 1994 and the *ping* of Nathan Lafayette hitting the post.
