Forty Fourth Summons: People are missing

[She can't find Aaron. She can't find Aisling. They haven't been droned, they've just "vanished". Ai is remaining calm and looking around. She's noticed the strange statues. But seeing as she hasn't been so much as "walking" as teleporting large distances, she's been able to avoid them so far.

[She'll find Slugger alone in Edward's study, looking around the room for any signs of where Edward might have gone to and how. Luckily, the mysterious angel statue found its way out of the house somehow not long after Edward vanished.

When Ai arrives, he greets her with a nod.]

[strike_you_out]

[Nod. The only thing he would've used it for was to trip Edward on the stairs, and Edward's missing anyway. Lowering his hand, he stands by momentarily before getting back to his search of the room for anything remotely suspicious. He'll start by pulling up the couch cushions.]

[miss_enma_ai]

[Puts it in her pocket and then come over to help you.]

Do you know anyone else missing?

[strike_you_out]

No.

[Fortunately, the people he cares about most are still in the town. Slugger finds two pennies dated circa 1950 inside the couch and puts them back.]

...One's droned. [Pokey, that is. But not missing.]

Did they do something?

[strike_you_out]

[He shrugs.]

Wouldn't doubt it.

[Finding nothing beneath the cushions, Slugger begins to push them back in again.]

He was at Edward's meeting. The blue kid.

[She nods.]

I've talked to him before.

[Small grin.]

Then you know he's a jerk.
