He goes along with Jane because after being in the Army, he has a finely honed appreciation of efficiency and absurdity. He spent years doing things a particular way because that's the way they had always been done, not because they were the best way to do them. (Although he still folds his undershirts the way he was taught in Basic.) Jane has no interest in staying in his lane and less interest in going along to get along if the going involves stupidity for its own sake ( ... )

Ouch for the ending. This rings very true, the kind of sardonic outlook Cho has and how and why he goes along with Jane so much. You should write more Cho *hints unsubtly*

I love the idea of Cho's perverse pleasure in watching other people having difficulty coping with Jane.

And as others have said, the last line is both painful and far too likely.
