Author's Notes: Written for queen_bellatrix as part of hp footballbets last year.
Griselda has known many Aurors in her life; many of them died while on duty, others got promoted first. Scrimgeour and Moody she remembers from the first Voldemort war, Bones from the Wizengamot.
She also remembers all of them as children.
At Shacklebolt's inauguration as Minister, she looks around at the flowers and smartly-dressed people, contemplating how little would have to change for this to resemble a state funeral.
"I hope we can count on you for years to come, Professor Marchbanks," Kingsley says when they run into each other.
"Likewise, dear lad," she replies, and leaves it at that.
