Sorry, Uncle Bernard...]

There's a blond teen leaning his chair over towards the door not very far off and pointing a bright smile at the boy. He is strongly in favor of healthy laughter.
(And he's also noticed that Tavi has that quietly confused look that new folks seem to get a lot, so saying hi can't be a bad thing.)

He tilts his head a little, almost frowning, examining the clothing. "You're... not from Alera, are you?" His eyes are torn between scared confusion and a kind of wary eagerness.

Momiji snickers a little, covering the mischievous grin that slides onto his face with one hand. He didn't realize kids actually did things like that.
At Tavi's question, though, he shrugs and offers what he hopes is a reassuring smile, as he brings his hands back down to his sides.

His eyes are shining. "And... well. It's not hard to do, and I had Fade to help me. The hardest part was timing it because I didn't have time to set a trip wire."

The pistol, though, is just baffling.
"Yes, ma'am," he says automatically. "I was just hiding in the barn." He points to the pistol. "May I ask what that is?"

At the question about being cursed, though, Tavi shrinks back a very little bit. "...N-no. Not... not really. I'm never sick--Aunt Isana sees to that--and... and I'm probably just a slowbloomer in my furycrafting, so... no." It's fairly clear, from his unease and the slight dimming of his vibrant eyes, that he doesn't entirely believe what he just said.

Tiny. Blond. Face as empty of emotion as a wood plate.

"...I... was supposed to be in a barn. And I'm not."

"I'm sorry about that. I wasn't expecting there to be... well, a place like this. Or anyone there."

"...Milliways?" he says a little blankly, eyes wide. The boy is green. It's a green boy of some bizarre material.
