[OOM: Everybody has their own ways of coping when someone's broken their heart. Zuko's involves heavy exertion and exhausting himself.He came back this morning; a flash of magic and he was here with a duffel bag and some crates, which were hauled upstairs, where he vanished for a good part of the day

There's someone in the bar. He doesn't pull attention to himself, but he's there, enjoying his usual. Olives and oil and bread and cheese and a bit of wine. There's enough for two, though.

"Hiring. That's all. Adding currency to the bar system."

[princeinexile]

"Who?" he asks, as he takes another bite of bread. An olive wanders over, to be eaten.

[forge_fire]

"A general from your world. A being of flame without a world. I'm considering a few others."

[princeinexile]

Wow. Zuko just made a ghhk noise, and choked on the olive.

Give him a minute, and he'll breath again. Really.

[forge_fire]

The god looks a little worried. Headtilt.

Another ghhhk noise, and then Zuko swallows heart. "Yo-- you hired Admiral Zhao?!"

Tell him it isn't so!

[forge_fire]

He nods.

"That's his name, yes."

[princeinexile]

Zuko boggles, and then blurts -- "He tried to blow me up!"

This doesn't make him feel good, you know.

[forge_fire]

Blink.

"He did?"

[princeinexile]

"Yes! We were competing for the same goal!" Zuko begins, beginning to, in the vernacular, freak right out.

[forge_fire]

"Which was?"

...see that habit of not asking questions? Is coming to bite him in the ass now.

[princeinexile]

"Capture of the Avatar," Zuko says, voice low.

[forge_fire]

"Which is?"

...no, he never got that far either, really.

[princeinexile]

Zuko rubs his face, "A person who embodies the power of all elements. He threatens Father's rule of the Fire Nation."

And the rest of the world, too.
