I am such a Carl Sagan fangirl! I even lived in the same town as him, for a while. **is starry-eyed**

We are all made of starstuff. ILU, Carl.

I always meant to go see if I could sit in on his class at Cornell (my cousin and a couple of friends went there in the 80s) but I would have felt like a stalker. LOL (But also, it was apparently a very very small class, and I don't think people could audit it anyway.) I have the Cosmos series on DVD - archon_mentha bought it for me a couple years ago for my birthday, and I've watched it so many times already. Such a crush! He really was amazing!

That video was pretty cool! Oh, Carl. I didn't discover him until after he died, but ... I miss him, anyway. I wish someone would step in and inspire people again, like he did. Sometimes, when I see Neil deGrasse Tyson speak, I think that he could possibly do it, but that doesn't seem to be the image he's going for.

I almost mentioned him in my post! I really like him, and he's doing a new Nova series for kids, which seems to be going well. He's got a great personality and he's extremely personable (even when he went on record agreeing that poor Pluto wasn't a planet, to the chagrin of lots of NYC public school children. Hee!) so who knows. He's still young, too. :)

He is. (And so adorable!) I watched some miniseries he did a few years ago. I'm blanking on the name, though. He was lovely.

I've never seen Cosmos. I mean, I've read the book, but I've never seen the series. I really need to remedy that. I bet I can download it somewhere.

He's always an "expert" on the Discover Science space shows I watch. :)

I wonder if netflix has it.

YES. 'There's Something about a Malfoy' is one of my favourite fics this year, and also, probably ever. *clutches it*

Carl Sagan! Wow. That takes me back so, so many years. I must have been a kid when the Cosmos series was on the TV here - I loved watching it! And I'm amused by how I thought of him as old back then. :P (He looks pretty young to me now! Heh.)

Conversation I had with my husband last night:
Husband: Does everything you read have sex in it?
Me: *scoff* No.
Husband: Oh?
Me: *thinks furiously but remains calm* There is this author xylodemon and she writes Marauder based, she is really clever and hilarious. I just read Anatomy of a Prank *goes on to explain plot and high comedy* *then gets excited and talks about other xylodemon gen stories*
Husband: That sounds really funny.
Me: It is. I also just read a story where Harry was an ice-cream man.
Husband: *looks very confused*
Me: Yeah, I can't explain fandom but it was good.

Anyway...it's nice to see you around and glad you are doing well and mindabbles really is a gem and did you read her daily deviant?
