First, thank you for the lovely words about my writing and about the original ficlet. I'm tickled that you got me, and I'm actually really glad you picked this one because I liked the sentiment and a few of the lines, but didn't really take it very far. And I certainly understand your reason for not picking any r/s ( ... )

You're so welcome! Your ficlet was truly a gift from the remix gods! :-P I've been lucky with remix the past three years, but seriously - the second I started reading it, I knew right away what I wanted to do. And you had such wonderful lines in there that I didn't even feel guilty about 'stealing' them! Hee ( ... )

Thank you so much! *hands you a tissue*

It's heartbreaking. I always imagine that, despite all of the horror of the first war, he was always confident that he'd be able to protect them. Peter's betrayal was a tragedy on so many levels, but for Sirius, it utterly broke him: he didn't even fight back or protest, or defend himself when he was arrested. *sigh*

Thanks again! I'm so glad you liked it!

This was beautiful, I knew it had promise when I saw the description pop-up on the Quibler today. Great job very touching.

i liked this very much. loved the similiarities between the two godfathers and harry's relationship with wee teddy. loved james' description of what it means to be a wizard godfather, that's how i've thought it would be too.

Thank you! :) I loved writing it and exploring those similarities, as well as the differences, due to the circumstances of the two wars.

There was never much of a religious focus in the books - even with the celebrations of Christmas and Easter, so I like the notion that a 'godfather' (or -mother) in the wizarding world is more of a secular role, and less a spiritual one. It just seemed to fit better to canon. I don't recall anyone else ever mentioning having a godfather. :)
