Testing!

I just downloaded Semagic, and managed to enter all four of my journals into the program. Now I need to figure out how to post to all of them simultaneously, so pardon the spam.

I do have a Con report to write, and I'll get to that eventually. Hopefully sooner than later!

FYI, I'm midnitemaraud_r at Greatest Journal. But I'm midnitemarauder ( ( Read more... )

Oh, let me know if you have a spare journalfen invite.

So is Semagic fairly straightforward then? I have an insane journal and a greatest journal, both regala_electra but I haven't done much with them.

Yes, it seems to be. You have to create logins for your different screen names though. snapetoy has a really good post on how to set them up.

Ok, for JF, I need from you:

Journal name can only be 15 characters long
Requested Journal Name:
Back-up Requested Journal Name:
Email:
For Friend/Self:

It looks like I have to submit the request it - it's not automated. I'm presuming you want the same name you have, but I need a backup just in case, and your email. I pasted the above from the form at JF.

Requested Journal Name: regala_electra
Back-up Requested Journal Name: (I looked and there is no user with my screename and um my brain is not working so I have no idea what else to pick)
Email: regala_electra@yahoo.com
For Friend/Self: er, for self? or is the self you?

Oops! That last question is for me. And the answer would be friend. :-P

They asked that multiple requests all be submitted in the same comment, so I'll do it tomorrow along with anyone else who replies. They seem to be getting through the journal creations pretty quickly, too, so it shouldn't take too long.

I would love a JF account if you are able to request one for me.

I'm eviljade at GreatestJournal, InsaneJournal, DeadJournal and LostJournal. I think I've already friended you on a couple of those.

Can I just say that having to friend everyone in 3 new places is a royal pain in the arse! Not to mention uploading icons! I have SO much icon space, but uploading is slow as anything! *weeps* But I'll find you, and if you've already friended me, that makes it so much easier! :-P

For JF, I need to submit the request for a new account, (it's not automated) so I need the following from you:

Journal name can only be 15 characters long
Requested Journal Name:
Back-up Requested Journal Name:
Email:
For Friend/Self:

(obviously I fill out the friend/self bit :-P)

I agree, it is a huge pain. I've spent hours setting things up at all of these and then friending people. I haven't even begun the icon uploads. Ugh.

Requested Journal Name: eviljade
Back-up Requested Journal Name: eviljadeone
Email: JadesStar@aol.com

Thanks!

Ah, Semagic is a very useful tool. I was actually wondering one day how to post at the same time on my four different journals, and then, miracle! Semagic was here. *g*

I friended you on every journal. My username is remeciel, wherever you go. :D

Yay for keeping it simple to recognize you!

I can see that semagic is going to be very useful! greenspine has been using it for ages, but I was too lazy to bother until now. :-P

I was lucky nobody picked up my LJ username. I'm quite used to it. :D

As for Semagic... now I feel I had been ignorant for years!
Still, as I only had one journal, the software would have been useless for me...

JF are doing free accounts now if you want to pass on the info!

Just c+p into a f-locked entry (I figure there was a reason for that-- probs not to cause trouble for the people at the comm)

They have a "form" over at JF that paid users can submit in a comment for the creation of journals, so I just did that. Of course, 2 minutes after I submit it, Rach tells me she wants one, too. Heh.

Ahahaha always the case. Anyway in case you're lazy you can just tell people to make their own. >_> ♥

I know! I can upload 500 to one, 1000 to another... I mean, yay, but actually DOING it... *headdesk* Just friending people over and over again is ridiculously time consuming. (Not to mention that a number of people have different names on various journals that aren't even recognizeable as being "them" so that makes it confusing, too! Well, not you! :-P)

I submitted the journal request, so hopefully you'll hear from them soon. :)
