Three Rivers review

So the pilot of Three Rivers aired tonight. For those of you who don't know, it is the comeback show for my beloved Alex O'Loughlin, late of the criminally canceled Moonlight. I'll put my thoughts behind a cut for the spoilerphobes.

im with you with my thoughts of the pilot, it didn't really do anything for me, i was waiting for it to pick up but it just didn't. I'll stick with it though for Alex, plus some of the promo's for the show in general have looked much better and like there are much better storylines coming along. so fingers crossed

I hoping it picks up too. As much as we all love it, the premiere for Moonlight wasn't exactly the best episode either. It took them a few to get their legs under them. I hope for Alex's sake it gets better!

but Moonlight didn't hook me until episode 4... so i'll watch another few weeks and see what happens.

Moonlight didn't really get me until the 4/5 mark as well, so we'll see.

So that's why it didn't seem like a pilot -- it wasn't. The lack of character development for a premiere was appalling. Why should I even care about these people. If they didn't have Alex, they wouldn't have me for eppy 2.

Plus, I didn't really feel like Alex's heart was in it. And, I kept getting distracted by his occasional Australian accent. Oops.

I hope next week is better!

I didn't think Alex's heart was in it either. He just seemed...off. But the episode airing this week IS the pilot, so we'll see I guess. :(
