This weekend, frau_flora opened up the Easter Egg Challenge in mfuwss and there are four requests for stories, not one has been claimed (despite asking for gen and/or slash)... I remember when there would be great excitement and tons of prompts almost instantly upon her annoucement in previous years. It's so sad to see our fandom moving into the inactive stage. Do you like crossovers? Not just in MFU, but in any fandom? What was your favorite crossover. In your opinion, what makes for a good crossover story?

Amazon has a new program that can lead to a publishing contract with them.  As always, no cost to the writer but an interesting opportunity to sell a book.

How hard do you beta a new MFU writer's work? Do you just go for the grammar, continuity, canon or everything all at once?

If you are even toying with the idea of this, you probably should read this article.
This is not so cool and I think a lot of fanficion writers will take it in the teeth if they go this route.
