*swells with Hufflepride for Severus and his Slytherins*

I still feel Dumbledore was wrong, the way he gave Gryffindor the house cup at the end of PS. If he had to do that, he should have made it a draw.

Perhaps then the enmity between Gryfindor and Slytherin, and between Potter and Malfoy, would have been less

I believe that, but I am hopelessly prejudiced.

Severus and his Slytherin friends are touched by the fellow feeling, and find it rising within them as well at the Huffle-good-example..

Thank you so much for reading and thinking of us.

I don't think Snape hated students. But i would have loved to seen him in action in canon, much like we got snippets of Miverva. =)

There is the wonderful introductory Potions speech, and the wonderful introductory Dark Arts speech, both of which are passionate and lyrical. I think he must have loved his subjects, and truly wanted to impart their wonders to his students. I believe he did inspire his Slytherins, for it was under his leadership that they won the cup so many years. There is also the scene with Draco at the Slug Club Christmas Party, where he gives respect pointedly to Severus that he does not give to Slughorn. I think he would have been an excellent leader of students, and probably an excellent teacher as well if one were studious and if one were not sheer example of prior associations and prejudices like Neville and Harry.
