Oh my! I can't even begin to imagine how embarrassing that would be, from all sides. I really like how you portrayed everyone reacting differently to it aswell. Tonks hides and pulls herself together, Andromeda fidgeting like no body's business and Remus, the true Gryffindor facing it head one - without a top on. Kudos for that ;D
I really liked this. I thought you really captured how I imagine Andromeda to be, slightly stiff, as befitting her background, and quite analytical, but with that comes a warmth, too, when she puts all the pieces together and sees what's really going on. I loved that she didn't dash out, mortified, but busied herself in the kitchen while she processed. There was just something very Andromeda about that to me, finding some kind of comfort in unconsious householdy things (which of course lays the groundwork for that marvelous moment wiht Remus, where in his eagerness to appear unfazed, he eats too quickly and burns his mouth).
I really liked the litte ways in which you had Remus prove himself to her, too - knowing where the tea is, knowing the kitchen better than she does - these tiny little things that prove he's not some fly-by-night lothario. I really loved these lines: Remus clears his throat and reaches across the table, his bare hand landing on mine with all the tenderness of a dear friend. I flinch. I think some people write

This piece has some really great moments in it. I particularly like seeing an Andromeda for a change who's both stuff and formal, but also someone who's undeniably related to Tonks. It's too much fun to see her do something she knows she shouldn't and then find herself in a scrape and mortified as Tonks ever is.
What I love, though, is the interaction with Remus and Andromeda. He is exactly the Remus who Molly is always getting support from in OOTP, and he handles Andromeda with real Remus-like poise here, making her feel better even though she was the one in the wrong. It's such a tender scene and you handled it with your usual sensitivity and deftness.
This made me laugh. I like how Andromeda's really proper, but seeing that Remus genuinely cares for Tonks makes her throw even seeing them together like that out the window. And of course Ted knew about Remus. I can just imagine him and Tonks conspiring to hide the relationship from Andromeda a little longer to cushion the blow.
Oh, Merlin. Of course. My entire reaction is probably why she has not mentioned it before.
As an Andromeda/Ted shipper, I squealed inwardly at the (real or imagined) hints of what also may have happened when Andromeda and Ted got together. All in all, good job!

I also really like how Ted knows where Andromeda doesn't. Sneaky sneaky.
