I've been meaning to do a big book post for, oh, a year and a half now. This will not be that post.

However, I did finally start reading Last Call by Tim Powers, and while I'm not that far into it yet, I'm seriously digging it. I've been meaning to read it for years (I think because it was cited as an inspiration for Unknown Armies) and it is

It's a really good book.

It is pretty awesome. Powers is one of my favorite writers. I've got a bunch of his other books (including Expiration Date, which is technically in the same world, but doesn't really interact until the 3rd book, Earthquake Weather. They're not really a trilogy, exactly, they're pretty stand alone.)
