I'm not even a big sci-fi fan and I loved it. D. reads a lot of sci fi and says it's good and you should read it.

I thought it was pretty good. Definitely more character- than plot-centered, which is, I'm sure, why it's gotten so much acclaim.

There's a sequel, as well, but I haven't read it.

If you need a break from the audiobooks, you might want to check out the Order 66 podcast, a SWSE-related podcast available at d20radio.com. The first episode is pretty bad, but it gets better. Unfortunately, it then gets worse as they become too comfortable. They're friends and co-workers and it shows when they do stupid things like constantly repeating each other's meaningless non-sequiter phrases. However, it seems to have a lot of information and insight into the game and you might find it interesting.

Well, I do like SWSE quite a bit! I did just download Spin, but maybe after that I'll switch to podcasts while mrsmetallian catches up on audiobooks...

I listened to the Spin audio book on Audible and enjoyed it thoroughly.
I also read the sequel, Axis... really good too. They are not fast paced, but rather introspective... extremely well written though. Def thumbs up.
