If I'd known...

...it was about 90 degrees and humid outside, I might have had something to drink before jogging this morning. @_@

In other news...

I got a copy of the new Star Wars RPG and I'm going to play in a one-shot today!

kinchyle - I tried an Oatmeal Stout the other day, Gray's to be precise. It was okay, but I definitely prefer schwarzbiers and Imperial Stouts ( Read more... )

I think some water might have been in order, yah. On that note, were you this fitness conscious in college? You always seemed pretty fit, but I don't remember you leaving the house to go to the gym or go jogging all the time. regardless, you're sort of an inspiration to stay active, myself.

Star Wars RPG, nothin. Six's spending the weekend at a gaming con he and his friends imagined. (It's really a boy sleepover with gaming.)

What's with the ubiquity of pumpkin empanadas at farmer's markets? I agree, total yum.

I have given up on the bare spots in our patch of lawn. It would be ecologically irresponsible for me to do what it takes to fix them. Oh, and the very idea makes me feel lazy.

Green spray paint.

Made from biodegradable dye, of course, and dispensed by means of compressed air rather than cfc's.

biodegradable dye

I think that might be problematic in the long-term...

Noooooooooooo. Well, not until well after you graduated. I was a total lump before that. I was 30 pounds heavier than I am now. The reason I started jogging in the first place (my junior summer) was because I started getting winded simply walking up to the third floor of AO.

A fine idea! I keep thinking we should arrange such a thing here. The tricky part is that when you get enough people who know each other in one place, drinking and other distractions often occur instead. (We drifted off-topic a lot yesterday, for example.)

90 and humid. I have that covered. here in Singapore it may only be 85, but the sun isn't out yet and it just rained and has 80% humidity. It's like constantly living in a steam bath, just with more birds.

I take it jogging's not a popular pastime? Or is everyone just used to it?

Piffle. If it doesn't use D6s, it ain't no Star Wars RPG. Why, when *I* was your age, we didn't even have D20s. We had to carve our own dice! I made mine from a squirrel!

I felt the same way at first (especially about the previous version of Star Wars d20), but I've gotta say that d20 Feats are a more natural way to handle certain special abilities than making everything a skill that has to be bought up separately. My d6 SW books remain a valuable source of setting info and ideas either way, much better than anything I've seen recently.

You are very lucky to have access to pumpkin empanadas. I have only ever seen them at one bakery in Tucson and no where else. Whoever it is that said they are ubiquitous at farmers' markets is wrong and a bad person.
I wish I could get the damn things here in New York.

Actually...she lives in Tucson so perhaps that explains it.

Wrong?!? Bad person?!? Perhaps if you were more full of pumpkin-y goodness, you would be less full of judgment. Mmmmm . . . pumpkin empanadas every Sunday at the St. Phillips Plaza Farmer's Market in baking hot Tucson . . . Whee!!!

At least you tried it; that's the important part. Life ain't worth living if you're not going to try new things.
