I found this fic a while ago, and I tagged it for a future read. The thing is, I forgot to save it and lost it in the meantime.

Hello, did you ever find this fic? I'm pretty sure I've been looking for the same one. As far as I remember, the Knights + Gwen get locked in the throne room and are forced to watch a sort of spell that shows Merlin looking for them. Merlin is hella BAMF in this and goes on to this like... dungeon/fortress area in the fortress while looking for them, and he has a lot of physical skills one would associate with a spy/assassin. He doesn't care much about what he's going, and the entire time he's there, he doesn't need to even use magic.

I remember at some point, Gwen says she is relieved because it turns out Merlin can defend them and himself.

He goes back to the castle and into the throne room and still doesn't know the knights have been hidden by an invisibility spell, and has this long fight and argument with the sorcerer that trapped the knights, while they're all bound to their chairs and watch. At some point during the fight, Merlin does reveal he has magic. I don't totally remember how it ends other than the fact that everyone is ( ... )
