Apparently I'm immune to bad sci-fi when it comes to Halloween. Guess what's on TV, Melissa? Here's a hint: monkeyboobs ( Read more... )

Yeah, I just don't understand the appeal of that. It's so overdone.

Huh, I've never heard of that. I think the only enjoyable vampire thing I've seen recently was a Neil Gaiman short where Snow White was a vampire and the "wicked queen" was just trying to save herself. It was really good.

...Also I was just reminded of Dracula Dead and Loving It, which I have not seen in forever.

You just killed me, I laughed so hard! Kim gave me a weird look until I explained. I saw that when I was flipping channels earlier, haha.

I missed the whole beginning, which is really the only good part. Parts two and three just... the story was not very well-written.

bahaha... i actually kind of love Buffy. It's really campy, but it kind of makes fun of the typical vampire idea. I mean, sure it's a vampire show, but it's addictive. And hilarious. And only every once in a while is there a whole episode that's serious.
Then again, I enjoyed Twilight too. I guess I know it's cliche, but for some reason it makes me happy =P

I'm sure Buffy's good, I mean, it's Whedon.

But Twilight scares the fucking shit out of me, and it's not well-written to boot.

please don't kill me, twihards

Haha, I try not to be a megabitch about it because honestly, I tried to read it (last year my roommates loved it, so I gave it a go) but it was just boring.

But from not reading the story I have read lots of the snark summaries and it is hard to believe that so many girls admire the story and would be okay with their lives being that way, dream-worlds or not... (If you're reading it as the literary equivalent of a twinkie, then... fair enough. But too many girls take it seriously.) It's just SO anti-feminist that it's rather disturbing. But I try not to talk about that too much.

Plus Twihards are ludicrously obsessive and that in itself is entertaining. ;D

...And if a few other people on my friends list read this I'm going to be attacked, lol!
