Removal panic: can pulling without breaking suction cause damage?

I just got my first menstrual cup (MeLuna M) and I was having awful cramps all day.

Long story short, I got the cup out to empty it but I couldn’t break the seal fully and I was panicky so I pulled it out fast the last couple of inches and it hurt a bit and I felt a suction and I was wondering if I possibly hurt myself by removing it like that.

health risks, removal - painful or problems, removal

I haven't heard of anything like that, but I have personally done the same thing. It definitely hurts and is uncomfortable but I am not damaged in any way.

I've heard once that can cause uterine prolapse... how much of it it´s true, I do not know... I don´t think once in a while would cause such damage, but I would try not to do that, also because it´s painful
