I think Melunas only have 2 anti-suction holes. Other brands have 4 or even 6. It might help to enlarge them or add holes. If you don't want to modify your cup, try positioning them for maximum air flow for the fold that you use. On the folds, between the folds, etc. Another thing to try is facing the fold the other way. So if you normally hold it so the fold faces forward, hold it the other way so the fold faces back. Sometimes turning it around makes a big difference.
As for leakage, the small Meluna is one of the tiniest and lowest capacity cups. You might need one that holds more. There are many size/capacity comparison charts online, including this out of date one: https://sizecharts.livejournal.com/
When I was using Melunas, it helped to hold them under cold water for a few seconds to harden them up before insertion. Also, like Kuradi mentioned, where the hole is in your fold matters a but: make sure the holes are outside the fold you are doing. Once inserted, check around the cup with your finger to make sure the cervix sits IN it and not next to it (can cause leakage), and do a tiny pull down to increase the suction for good measure. Always make sure the holes are completely free - easiets way to do this, under a faucet running cold water, place your palm at the opening and create a suction as you rinse out the cup
