Too funny! All those times on Fry &Laurie when HL was in drag finally come to good use.

Just a quibble from a history major: "We the People..." is the preamble to the US Constitution. The Declaration of Independence, which was signed onJuly 4, 1776 and is the document RSL was reading, begins, "When in the course of human events...."

I think he read both though? I was a bit paranoid I'd get that wrong (not knowing one US historical document from another) so i checked and it says ' RSL in Williamstown--Reads Preamble of the Constitution & Declaration of Independence ' and the news article seems to agree?

Ahhh- my apologies! The Preamble is very short: one extremely run-on sentence, in fact. But since the Constitution was written years after the Declaration, I just assumed it wasn't being read. I should have trusted you to research this. I am a naughty reader! :)

Phew! Relieved sigh! Yeah, the Declaration looks like much more of a mouthful than the preamble, Wilson was just warming up with the easy stuff :)
