Ohh, The Authority. How might I explain them?
Well, I was going to just link you to a friend's journal from when he so kindly supplied us with some scanned pages, but that particular entry seems to be friends-only locked, so...

I'm a bit of a noob (only read those scans and one full comic), but from what I can tell it's your standard team of superheroes saving the world from whatever shits going down. But the twist seems to be that while most superheroes have their own strict moral code to follow and won't mess with the world in general, The Authority tend to just do whatever they bloody want to to get the job done.
It's fantastically, horribly gorey with just the sort of dark humour that appeals to me, and the fact that two of the main characters are a gay couple doesn't exactly hurt. ^___^

And yes, you can tell a major difference. The outline of your face and jaw is a lot stronger, firmer. It's lost that edge of soft/elfin and become more muscular and determined. <3

But you know it doesn't matter a bit what any of US think. It's what YOU think that matters. XD

I did lose a significant amount of weight between pictures too - and I have the harder sections of the SIE soundtrack to thank for that as jogging music - but I definetly noticed my jawline changing! Seemed like this time last year, every time I went to put the Joker makeup on I was painting a different face!

I know I ought not to care what others think, but hearing praise from actual human beings does give a certain amount of satisfaction. ^_^

Haha yeah that was me. I'm glad I've gotten you even a little bit addicted. The characters are pretty righteously badass and their sarcastic dialogues and black humor never fail to make me smile, no matter how black a mood I'm in. It's good times all over.

Also, I *may* have kept this page open in a tab for a couple days just so I could come back and gawk at the difference between your two pics over and over. I've seen plenty of before/after T and surgery pics (mostly on LJ comms like ftm_vanity), but somehow it's even more of a mindblowing difference when it's someone I know (?). Yeah, I can't really explain it I guess, other than to say hell yes, you look incredibly different. And all those changes in just a year? That's freaking amazing. I've been feeling lately like it's gonna take forever to get to where I want to be (I'm just in therapy to get T letters etc now), but your pics buoyed me up a bit.

I also vote that the hair is not-retarded. :D
