I'll be honest, I glossed over the Mulder/Diana stuff (our canons are slightly different in this regard), but I really enjoyed it. :) I especially liked number 5.

But when she pulled up outside the funeral home she admitted that the only reason she came was to make sure Teena was dead.

This line was chilling and very well done, as was the ending line. Great work!

I think my canon and most peoples' canons are different when it comes to Mulder and Scully *g* but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to looking more at Diana and Teena's relationship.

Yeah, I thought our canons would be different *g* but I'm glad you enjoyed this and liked getting a glimpse into my version of canon.

Aw, I really wanted them all to go to dinner together -- if only because I'd love to see how a conversation between the three of them turned out.

I can't even imagine how that conversation would turn out, but maybe I'll write it at some point in the future =)

I probably will! I think Teena would get on with Diana too. I think you're right that her feelings would change when she gets invovled with the X Files too. You should definitely write a "Mulder and Diana go visit his mom" scenario.

Thanks for this! Much as I love Mulder and Scully, to ignore all the rest of the rich character potential on the show is very sad, and it happens all too often.

You're welcome! I love Mulder and Scully, but there are so many intriguing characters in the rest of the series it's a shame to waste that potential.

I SO agree! And it's heartening to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. TXF was full of character potential--a lot of it, I think, because there were so many good actors who weren't satisfied with just learning the scripted lines but really invested in their characters and brought them alive.

Oh you're definitely not the only one! Have you read any of wendelah1's fic? Wen writes a lot about secondary characters too, and she's well worth a read.

This is very nicely done: subtle and provocative. It leaves many unanswered questions, and why not? CC's canon left the field wide open.

It amazes me that someone with so many rl challenges and an admitted tendency to getting down-in-the-dumps can be so productive. Good for you.

I'll check to see whether Wendelah has read this. She believes that Diana is not given the respect she deserves.

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it. I'm hoping to answer some of the questions I've left unanswered in later fics, but yes - CC left a lot unanswered in canon so why not play with that a bit?

It amazes me that someone with so many rl challenges and an admitted tendency to getting down-in-the-dumps can be so productive. Good for you.

Heh, thanks. I do think being productive is my way of avoiding things, but at least I get to write fic as a result.

I hope Wen likes it. I know it's not quite what she asked for, but I know how she feels about Diana too.

I totally missed this when it was posted! I saw it recced at Haven in the fanfic section! Thank you so much! I love it, of course, because I love your writing, but also--Diana! (Looks around furtively) You do realize I totally ship Mulder/Diana. Well, you will once you read my story. They are one of my favorite doomed ships.

I think this is a plausible, well-constructed back story for their relationship. As others have said, it's not exactly the same as mine, but that's what you get for having so many fic writers on your flist. *g* I look forward to your writing more about Diana.

I also love stories about Teena Mulder, another sadly neglected secondary character. This is a powerful scene.

She turns to her son again. The monitor is grainy, black and white, but he stares directly at them ( ... )

I was recced at Haven? Wow! I'm so glad you like it though. I know they're all snippets, which I really need to flesh out when I have the time, but I was hoping it would be up your street. I'm planning to read yours this weekend and then I will see your Mulder/Diana too. I can't wait! =D

I'm looking forward to writing more about Diana. That's one good thing about having so many fic writers as friends; you get to see their interpretations of canon and I find it makes me think a lot more about how I see it, and why I see it that way.

We know what that word is indeed.

I think Teena's always done what she thinks is best for Mulder - whether it actually is better for him is another thing entirely, but I think she did what she thought would save him. And like you say - regardless of what people think, Fowley lost her life to save Mulder. Ok, in my version of canon she gets spirited away - but she would certainly be killed otherwise. She sacrifices a lot for him.

You're welcome. I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
