NOTE: This post is now outdated. The new job listing is found here.

NOW HIRING

A new business is opening in Memento Eden and we are currently seeking employees.

A beautiful hotspring has been discovered on the mountain not far from town and using this natural resource, an onsen (hotspring) facility and ryokan (traditional-style hotel/inn) have been built. We have several openings, so please take a look at the listings and apply here. ^.^

CLOSED (0/1) Manager $1500/wk - This position will require the applicant to live on site with room and board paid. Responsibilities will include all facets of running both the onsen baths as well as the ryokan. They will need to make sure all employees are carrying out their set tasks, oversee daily tasks, as well as contributing to the overall success of the business in all ways they can. As a note, those applying for this position must be proven responsible and capable of managing such an operation.

(1/3) Hosts/Hostesses $15/hr - These individuals will take turns in running the front desk and taking bookings/reservations, while the other two will stock towels/robes and necessities for the baths as well as serving sake and tea to bath patrons.

(1/1) General Maintenance $15/hr - This position will call for someone willing to make repairs where needed, help with general upkeep of the facilities (including helping keep the baths clean of debris) and do light landscaping.

CLOSED (0/3) Maid $10/hr - This is a fairly self-explanatory listing. These positions will be expected to do cleaning of guests' rooms, changing areas, and general areas of the ryokan and onsen.

(1/1) Head Chef $250/day - The chef will be expected to provide higher-end Japanese/Asian-style meals for guests staying at the ryokan as well as meals as a restaurant experience in a limited capacity. They will be assisted by one prep/assistant cook. Also expected to help with dishes and kitchen cleaning when they have extra time - employee meals on site are also handled by the kitchen staff.

(2/2) Prep Cook $75/day - Job duties are to assist the head chef in their duties providing meals for guests and employees living on site. Help with dishes and kitchen upkeep are expected as well.

(2/2) Dishwasher $10/hr - Will take on the bulk of kitchen cleaning and dishwashing.

CLOSED (0/3) Waiters/Waitresses $15/hr - General waiter/waitressing job, but rather than working in a dining room they will take orders and bring meals to the rooms as well as taking the dishes and such back, filling drinks at meals. Will work primarily in the ryokan rather than the onsen (most small orders of food and drink to the onsen will be handled by the hosts and hostesses)

(2/2) Launderers $10/hr - Will handle laundering services for the onsen and ryokan.

Notes:
One "uniform," yukata/kimono attire, will be provided, any more the employees wish to use must be purchased.

For employees working late or wishing to stay a night between shifts or some such circumstances, there is a small housing area set apart from the ryokan main building itself that will be the new home for the Manager and shall have a few spare rooms for employee use.

For all employees, there will be a several times a day rickety shuttle to ferry people from town to the mountain hotspring for work. Forgot to mention that to people so they'd know how they were getting there because it's a ways away set from the town, folks. It'll be a commute.

Employees will begin work immediately and begin training and preparing for the opening of the onsen, so be ready to work hard!
