Shane, could you stop impregnating everyone?

He steps into the main room Hershel's lend them and that Charli and the baby will probably occupy 'til spring knocks back their door. It's too cold these days and they've all had to move inside the house, most of the group sleeping in the living room.

Lingering next to the door, he twists his cap in his hands.

"How're ya two holding up?"

Everyone will be related if he keeps going lol!

The room was finally quiet, the little boy having finally settled where he rested in his mother's arms after almost an hour of screaming.

The quiet doesn't last. The infant stirs and whimpers the second Shane speaks and Charli makes a distress sound and turns towards him. "He won't stop. I think he's cold, but... I don't have anything else to keep him warm."

Shane's magic sperm will repopulate the world, bitches.

"What?" Frowning, he quickly crossed the room in a couple of strides while slipping out of his flannel shirt. Knealing over the bed, he wrapped the material around the infant, pulling up the blankets to make sure that Charli was also warm. "You should have said something, kid."

How's the next generation gunna work then? :)

"I didn't want to be a bother. There's plenty of other things people have to worry about." And she wasn't going to voice out loud the feelings of shame that came with being completely hopeless at looking after her own child, because that would jut make things worse. But then this wasn't much better. She ducks her head. "I hoped just tucking up would help."

"It's not a bother." He scolded her, making sure she was properly tucked in

Realising that his tone was probably a bit harsh, he sat next to her, making sure his words were softer this time. "Look, between your arms you have the most wonderful thing that could have happened to us, kid." He smiled at his boy, putting his hand over the one Charli had under the baby's head. "You need to point out any little thing that could compromise the baby's health. Any little thing counts." He met her eyes again. "Are we clear?"

She flinched at the scolding, turning all her attention to the baby in order to avoid looking at him.

The baby continued to grizzle and cry and Charli continued to fuss over him, trying to get him to settle, all the while listening to Shane. She smiles at the comment about their boy being the best thing and giggles softy. "Seems weird you calling me kid while I hold him." And she looks up to meet his eyes. "Yeah. We're clear." She nods. "Its just embarrassing. I have no idea what I'm doing, I'm terrified I'll do something wrong. And with the other mum's here... I don't want to look like I'm not capable of raising my own son."

Hershel can be Noah and have two walkers of each kind in his barn. :3

He chuckled, an earnest laugh coming out of him for a change. "Yeah, it's kinda weird, ain't it?" Messing around with the significantly younger girl? They hid it for a while, and once the cat was out of the bag he could see that once again, he wasn't getting all that much approval from the group. Once Charli got pregnant, he was glad to see that at least nobody seemed too judgemental of the young girl as he had once expected.

"Hey, want me to tell you a secret?" He was using once again his playful tone. "I've got no idea either. But we're gonna be fine."

... Wait... So they can breed more after? ... All this from 'Shane's a manslut' I like it. :)

Of course, if you thought about it, a lot of the situation was weird. But when Charli looked from Shane to their son, she knew she'd take weird over the alternative.

The baby has once again settled and Charli leans her head against Shane's shoulder and sighs, eyes closed. "How do you know that?"

Not sure if breeding walkers would be win, but Shane's manslut powers are still awesome XD

"After all we've been through?" He twists his head to kiss the top of her head. In a way, she was still a child too. But she was far more mature than many of them people they lived with.

She was more of a woman than Lori was.

"Nothin's gonna stop me from keepin' ya both safe."

(ooc: I was thinking that! Maybe they can be like that people that have a puppy but take weeks before naming it? XD)

"Him first." She's not at all surprised by the words, he was her priority and keeping him safe topped her list. She opened her eyes again to look down at his now sleeping form -so maybe it had taken hearing Shane to settle him- before looking up at the man, expression serious. "Promise me, Shane, always him first."

ooc: I can see that. And when they're asked about it Charli's like 'it needs to be perfect, besides its not like he knows'
Also my notifs and messages aren't coming through. Or haven't been, I got one for this tag about three minutes ago so...

"Him first", he agreed, chuckling at how firm Charli sounded when it came to their little boy. That was a good change, seeing her so assertive. That was something else their son had achieved already. "I promise, alright?"

Cocking his head, he watched the little bundle squirm a bit in her arms. "How are you feeling? Still cold?" He rubbed her arm. "Hungry?"

... LOL!!! In my head, the almost silent Glenn muse is hiding nao!

"Good." But she offers a smile when he agrees, leaning further against him and tugging the blanket further up with one hand and tucking it around the baby and attempting to put it over Shane's legs, despite her awkward angle.

"I'm fine. I... I don't know about him." She shakes her head. "No. Not hungry." She indicates the empty plate. "Carol brought me something before."

ooc: and Charli has new icons too! :D

"She's a kind woman. I'll have to thank her later." Smiling as Charli attempts to cover him, and seeing that after all thanks to Carol he hasn't got to go down to the kitchen, he checks one last thing before getting comfortable in bed.

Reaching out, he touches his son's face, and thankfully his skin doesn't feel too cold. "I'm no expert, but he seems fine."

Turning away to them both, he slips his boots off, before properly slipping his legs under the blanket.

"She's taking care of us." And Charli was grateful for it. She understood that Shane wasn't always able to be there, and she never held it against him, even though she'd prefer if he didn't have to go... do things.

Once Shane's settled, Charli nods and moves to rest against him once again, stealing his warmth. "He's getting so big now. Why won't he just stop growing?"

ooc: I'm sure Maggie would be in heaven. My little shipper mind believes that Daryl won't be too thrilled... Just sayin'

The baby was a blessing that had touched many of them. After loosing her own daughter, Carol seems now to have the goal to truly look after Charli and their son. "Gotta say, I'm glad someone is keepin' an eye on you." He teased.

"You want him to stay like that?" He snorted. "Only crying and getting his diapers dirty?"

(ooc: LOL! Havent thought of that! Another reason for Daryl to be pissy at Shane lol! XD)
