[Irene didn't even know why she bothered humoring the girl. A few hours earlier, her Royal Highness texted her inviting her to a private little dining room in The Ritz for a spot of tea and some scones. Irene complied, only because she thought she'd get some more business, but turns out the only reason why she was summoned was to listen to the mousy little girl beg her to delete the photos, or at least promise never to use it for power play. Of course she refused both and now the girl won't stop whimpering and making squeaky noises and not even the world's supply of scones could make this worth it. She pulled out her phone.]

"Miss. Adler, please, I'm begging you."

"Don't be rude, Your Highness, I'm texting right now."

['In a bind. Save me and I'll do anything you ask. Maybe. -IA'. Send to Sherlock Holmes. Sent.]

Hello hello~! deducing_freak January 6 2012, 08:21:06 UTC
[Sherlock was in the middle of an experiment when he heard that familiar moaning tone from his cell. He picked his head up from the microscope as he stared at his phone for a moment before finally picking it up to read the text.]

Maybe?
Not enough incentive.
Try again.

[A woman in her particular line of work, offering to do whatever he wanted, well that was certainly something. But the detective wasn't about to make that gamble. It was all or nothing.]

HELLO DEAR 8D up late again, i see! askadler January 6 2012, 08:27:07 UTC
[Irene rolled her eyes when she read the text and smirked. She ignored the girl's whining and took a sip of tea while typing with her left hand. 'What is your price? -IA'.]

"Y-You know I won't let you out of here until I get you to agree, Miss Adler. I've got g-guards standing outside the door," The girl sniffled and hiccuped.

"Don't insult my intelligence darling, I already know that. What do you say you drink some more tea, calm down, and then we talk like adults?"

Of course xD lol I might crash soon though. deducing_freak January 6 2012, 08:42:07 UTC
[Must have been quite some bind. Normally she was quicker with her responses. Maybe that bind wasn't so figurative as it was more literal. But sure enough he got a reply and Sherlock reached for his phone again.

Quite a bind, indeed. She's desperate.]

I'll surprise you.
What's the location?

['The Ritz London, 150 Piccadilly. Private room in the back of the hotel, first level. Guards at the door. Come quickly. Her Highness is irritating me. I might gag her soon. -IA'. She looked back up at the girl and smiled. Her Highness seemed to calm at the sight, mistaking it for some sort of truce, and her hiccups quieted a bit.]

"That's a good girl. Now eat your scone. And then we'll negotiate."

[His phone goes off again with another moaning alert, and he picks it up. Sherlock won't reply back this time. Instead, he gets right to work and texts someone else from his contact list who was apart of his rather wide network. the detective just so happened to know a guy who was friends with a woman that just so happened to be married to the fire Marshall.

Some short while later, the alarms would sound and the sprinkler system activated. What a perfect diversion.

Sherlock would be waiting outside, just across the street, watching as the people were all evacuated from the premises. Taking his phone from his pocket and issuing another text.]

Don't get wet.

[Irene's smile widens as the sprinklers go off and the sound of screaming ladies erupt from outside of the dining room. Her Royal Highness is ushered out by her guards and Irene follows, but not before finishing this fine cup of Darjeeling and getting quite wet in the process. She strolls out of the building and is immediately accosted by Her Highness herself.]

"Irene, please, don't think I won't stop persisting."

"Of course not dear, but I'd be careful standing out in broad daylight. As I know it, you've got some fans."

[Sure enough, some pedestrians noticed Her Highness immediately and her guards were forced to whisk her away yet again. Irene smirked, spotted her rescuer and strolled across the street where he was waiting and rung out her hair of the last few droplets.]

"Hello darling. Hope I didn't interrupt anything important, but I was just two seconds away from gagging that silly girl and getting myself in trouble. Now, I believe you have a surprise for me?"

[It would be an out right lie to say that he didn't find this at least somewhat humorous. Sherlock stands by idly, watching as everyone is removed from the building. He had made up some nonsense about a bomb scare. It was a blatant lie, obviously. The detective clearly abusing his power but it was fun to lie every now and then.

He looks on with a faint smirk as she approaches.]

Didn't get my text? Could have sworn I have you a warning.

[Sherlock had one hand behind his back. Relishing in his own deviousness for a moment until she inquires about his surprise. He brings his arm out, handing her a towel.]

I can't imagine a drowned rat looking any more glamorous then you right now.

gonna start typing in prose cuz brackets scare me xD askadler January 8 2012, 07:30:31 UTC
Irene glances at the towel for less than a second before raising her hand to refuse it and smirks, quite aware of the stares she's receiving on account of how tightly her wet dress is clinging to her.

"Oh, I received your text. Unlike most of the women in there, I don't mind getting wet in public..." She flicked her gaze to some frozen passersby. "It is a peculiarly humid day anyway, and I wanted to finish my scone." Her gaze refocuses on the detective and she tilted her head with a wry grin. "And I can't imagine anyone looking any more glamorous than I right now."

"How about that surprise then, dear?" She is intrigued as to what Sherlock could possibly ask of her, knowing what little limits she has. He'd want to embarrass her, maybe, but that'd be extremely difficult. He wouldn't ask something so juvenile as for her to admit he's the smarter of the two, and he wouldn't waste this pass on something so petty. Intrigued indeed.

that works! sorry Im so awfully late hun :( deducing_freak January 9 2012, 18:38:30 UTC
Oh this woman, such a elegant way with words. It's even more amusing how the general public seems to react to the both of them. Sherlock can't help but smirk at her comment, but he'll oblige and keeps the towel to himself then. Mrs. Hudson would be a little upset if she found out he tossed one of her good linens.

"Let's have dinner."

It's a simple enough request. A bit out of the ordinary for him though, admittedly. He smiles some when he glances back down at her, looking on expectantly. If anyone were to pick up on his subtle disposition it would be her. Amazing woman, she was. Clearly he had some ulterior motive going on in his mind.

"Please."

it's okay dear! i know you're busy! askadler January 9 2012, 20:13:14 UTC
Irene is genuinely taken aback by his invitation and she raises an eyebrow. Using his free pass to ask her to dinner? Oh, the sly fox, he definitely has an ulterior motive, and using something like dinner where he'd like to have her seated and unable to leave easily means it might not be something she'd agree to easily. Or maybe he was sweetening the deal, perhaps?

Either way, Irene certainly couldn't resist the temptation.

"Please."

Irene raises both eyebrows know and her lips curl into a smile.

"The great Sherlock Holmes saying 'please' to a woman? Well now, how could I possibly say no when you're just a step away from begging?" She takes a step closer and stares up at him. "Fine, I'll do dinner. Time and place? And may I ask why, out of everything you could have chosen, why do you choose dinner?"

So she's intrigued, that's good. He notes that slight brow raise there, how her eyes gaze up at him like that. He's peaked her interest and obtained her curiosity. Not that the hard part was over, the rest should be fairly simple from here.

"Would it be better if I said pretty please?"

There's a smirk. The detective is only teasing of course. Maybe if it had come down to that, he may have muttered the phrase. But she steps in close and it seems that the scent of her perfume hadn't been washed away by the sprinklers as the aroma graces over his senses.

"Tonight. Seven o'clock. The Royale." A personal favorite of his actually. He smiles down at her, reaching a hand up to move away that one stray curl of wet hair from her face. "I have something I want to discuss with you.. privately."

Irene chuckles a bit involuntarily, something Kate tells her to do more often. It wasn't often she was quite so amused with someone's wit and banter, figures it's Sherlock Holmes that can provoke an unplanned laugh out of her.

"Tempting as that is, I'd rather make you say 'pretty please' on my own terms, dear."

She watches as he brushes a bit of her hair away and catches his hand before he can pull it away. "The Royale, then. I look forward to it, Mr. Holmes, that and whatever you feel is important enough to discuss with me."

(Feel free to time skip!)

A laugh? He managed a laugh? Well now, that's certainly something. To elicit a genuine bought of laughter, which sounds positively melodious when it's not tainted with a touch of maliciousness. Yes, it's that scheming mind that has him most aroused attracted to her, and that may never change.

There's a slight arch of a brow when that gentle yet very fierce hand grabs his and she all of his attention again.

[TIME SKIP?! SAY WHAT?!]

Sherlock had down up only ten minutes prior. Having requested a table. He wouldn't be very gentlemanly and wait for her at the entrance. Instead, he was off at the table sitting alone. Fairly secluded as it was set off towards the back. Every now and then he would glance down to his watch to check the time.

Irene arrived about 7:10 and waved Kate away with instructions to only pick her up at the time specified in the text she would send. She arrived in formal attire as was fit for the evening, a strapless green dress similar to the one worn on Sherlock's birthday and trademark stilettos, and Kate had her hair up in a simple, messy bun, at Irene's insistence. The waiter guided her to Sherlock's table and she sat down with a smirk.

She honestly had no idea what to expect and frankly was thrilled by the thought. It'd been a while since she was on her toes, running ideas through her head as to what someone else could possibly be thinking that when the time finally came she was almost frightened to ask what his surprise was, but at the same time incredibly excited. It was... stimulating, to say the least.

"Well, you've got me here now. Are you going to tease me with wine or move right into the main course?"
