I got a call this afternoon from my sister, telling me that Kissy died. She fell asleep in a corner near our window in NYC, where she used to watch the birds and the ambulances, the Chinese strangers pass by, where she would eat the flowers from Mom's pots. I had many fun New Years but this one was my most bizarre and it happened almost six years ago when I was seventeen and my sister Diana was sixteen. So Dad, my sister and I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood today, given that any type of tourism around NYC will have to be postponed until tomorrow, when the stores and subways open up again.
