Why hello there, LJ Land...

I may be checking in just for the sake of checking in. It feels like there isn't much to report. [Note: Now, having written it all out (what I remember, at least), there is a lot! I've sorted the cuts by topic, so you can pick and choose what to read. I'll also warn you that the recipe is for a green smoothie, instead of a delicious treat, so you ( Read more... )

I have to say that I am impressed with all those little cuts. You are a very organized person. I, however, just charge in and forget to say things, put things in the wrong section and so forth. I need lessons from you on how to stay on topic.

I was glad to see that you were here and writing something at all. Does this mean that you will start writing stories again?? *hopeful grin*

I never stopped, silly goose. I am just slower at writing when life is all lifey.

It is so lovely to see you back again! I had thought that a dead computer took you out of communication, but I can see that it may equally have been that you've been so busy.

I'm thinking that your friend was right about looking for a single, decently-paying job. Easier said than done, of course...

How are your energy levels going after all these changes?

Too early to tell, energywise.

It is so nice having a supervisor again though! I hadn't realised how much extra stress I had taken on before she was hired. And given that I only had a fraction of my previous supervisor's stress shunted onto me, it really is no wonder that that pisition breaks people. I have had six different supervisors in the past five years.

The one thing I have noticed about cutting back on gluten is that I have been sleeping less. I don't think the two are actually related, but I have gone from getting 7-8 hours of sleep nearly every night to 5-7 with one night a week of 9 hours. That may be more due to the fact that I work 35+ hours per week but no longer get consecutive days off.

Now that my foot seems to be on the mend, I am starting to look at simple exercise routines i can do at home (without running *sadface*), because sedentariness is not fun, even when it is foot enforced!

I think I will have a better answer for this question in a few weeks.

Nice to see you again!

I completely agree with your friend that it'll be easier to have one permanent job than several part time jobs (says the one looking for another part time job!).

I managed to cut my ear in the shower the other day!

I honestly have NO clue! There isn't even anything sharp in the shower (and no, I wasn't trying to shave my ear :p)... I think I'll blame visiting the Van Gogh museum ;)

I work at an interactive science museum, mostly.

I think the klutziness is becoming status quo, which worries me. I mean, normally I might have one or two klutzy days a month, but now almost everyday something ridiculous happens. This morning I forgot to put the cap on my blender where the dispenser spigot can go. I didn't realize until I was pouring in water and it started draining onto my foot!

I've seen it only once, but it wasn't my flour. It's gross.

I would be more in danger of it than you, I think. It takes me a very long time to use flour. I wonder if the temperature change makes a difference in rising when using organic flour. That would be a more valid reason for me than bug prevention.
