01) The first character I fell in love with:
RYOMA. Unquestionably. I'd resisted getting into the series for ages until a friend in China made me watch the first three episodes with her. I fell for Ryoma's snark and the rest was history. :D

02) The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Atobe. Or anyone from Hyoutei, really. But I distinctly recall wondering why everyone was so in love with Atobe when he was such a self-absorbed rich brat. Little did I know...!

03) The character everyone else loves that I don’t:
Kirihara. I just don't get it. Or any of Rikkai.

04) The character I love that everyone else hates:
...Ryoma? No, I'm not under the delusion that everyone hates him, but so many people do! I could also say Tomoka, I suppose. I think she's an awesome fangirl--others think she's horrifically annoying.

05) The character I would shag anytime:
Atobe. Oshitari. Shishido? Are we sensing a pattern here?

Probably Harry. :) I was young back then and very canon-strict. It wasn't until I discovered fandom that I fell in love with Draco Malfoy.
02) The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Neville, probably. Or Fleur. Who could've imagined that they would have gone such lengths and become so awesome? (Or even Snape! I used to despise Snape. Fandom really did a number on me. Though I'm not sure I'm totally in love with canon!Snape so...)
03) The character everyone else loves that I don’t:
Lily Evans/Potter. She is the paragon of virtue. She is a freaking goddess. I don't get what's so special about her, honestly. And I find it bizarre that she was the first person in the history of the wizarding kind to die for someone else. WTF.
04) The character I love that everyone else hates:
I'm pretty sure every character I even remotely love has some sort of fanbase. :)
05) The character I would shag anytime:
Blaise Zabini! Hee, or so fandom portrays him. Jason Isaacs. Um, yeah, let's

- What is your deep, dark fandom secret?
As much as I adore the twins, Maya's fics have made me realize what absolute horrors they were, and how very prejudiced the Weasleys can be. It made me love them a little less. And there was this HP Blame Game a few years back that brought up Molly vs. Sirius--reading the responses made me like both of them a little less. :/

Well! Maya is very Slytherin-sympathetic, so in her fics she tends to point out the things the Gryffindors do in canon which are completely awful if considered IRL, but are ignored in canon b/c JKR loves her Gryffindors. For example, the twins stuffing Montague (Slytherin on the Inquistorial Squad) in the Vanishing Cabinet, which sent him someplace for a week and finally his parents had to come fetch him, who was still disoriented. And all because he was going to take some House points. Overreaction much? And generally, the twins and even Ron (and Mr. Weasley too) have said a lot of awful, judgmental things about the Slytherin house in general. Just as bad as anything the Slytherins have said about Muggleborns, really, only from the other side

Lenalee. Good LORD, what happened to her? She used to be so cool! All her awesomeness went away with the hair, I guess.

Kanda/Allen. Though as my dislike of Allen grows, so does my fondness of Lavi/Kanda.

Hitachiin Hikaru. Totally. I am a sucker for twins. And Hikaru grabbed me first; I've no idea why.

Eclair! I'm not crazy in love with her, but I think she's pretty damned awesome. I was totally prepared to hate her, too, so I'm happy that I get to like her instead. :D

Okay, but you asked for it!

01) The first character I fell in love with:
GOKUDERA! His silhouette showed up, my mind screamed "SASUKE" and then he was this crazy dynamite bomber who also fanboyed the 10th crazy amounts. I adore him so much. His tiny moments of angst and doubt make me love him even more. Plus, he's hot. God, some of those title pages make me stop for a minute just so I can stare and salivate.
02) The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
Yamamoto. Seriously, he was such a laid-back, likable, average guy next door. He's the type I ignore while I fangirl over the crazy bastards, ya know? But holy crap, I am SO IN LOVE with Yamamoto. Just. There are no words. I like him this eensy bit more than Gokudera (and did I ever have an inner conflict with myself before admitting that), but fear not. He doesn't yet top my favorite character list. :D (Close, though. Soooo close.)

GORGEOUS ART HOLY SHIT; MAFIA-CENTRIC; KILLER BABIES; slashy UST/pairings everywhere; being able to understand wtf kasugai_gummie & forochel are going on about now :Dv

FSCKING RAWS; lack of fic; rather deus ex machina-ness of the bullets (as mentioned by Mishy); Tsuna being such a loser with no real abilities of his own; not enough Hibari screentime WTF :(
- Who are your five favorite characters?
Dino, Hibai, Yamamoto, Gokudera, Reborn
- Who are your five least favorite characters?
Tsuna, the 9th, ...um, no, I'm rather okay on all the others.
- What are your five favorite pairings?
Dino/Hibari, Yamamoto/Gokudera, Ryohei/Gokudera (WHAT?), future!Lambo/whoever he wants, ...and I could see Yamamoto/Hibari too. (What I see is something like a BL stereotype, weirdly.)
- What are your five least favorite pairings?I don't even know. :/ I could come up with some crack pairings I wouldn't like very much. Lambo/Tsuna, Dino/Lambo

I agree with very much of this (Dino is sooo hot) =D And since we seem to be of the general same opinions so far, I would take a guess that the future!arc doesn't make you hate YamaGoku (it made the rest of the fandom go on a fangirling spree), unless you don't like the slight angst (but angst = tension and tension = win) XD You should read picnicbird's YamaGoku fics!

Also, I expected to like Hibari a lot too, but whether it's the curse of never ever agreeing with Cynthia on anything in fandoms or whatever, the reasons you list for not feeling the love for him don't really change. I find him rather flat. KICKASS, no doubt, but just eh. Mukuro gets an edge on him for being kickass AND more interesting =D;
