Two things...that have nothing in common...
1. I think my dad's excited about Torchwood. Which is weird, yes. One, whenever I even mention BBC America, he rolls his eyes. Two, he's not in to Doctor Who, and that's because he hasn't exactly caught the best bits (this being he saw the very end of "Doomsday", which is so not his cup of tea
