This story was painful and fabulous at the same time; such an utter violation for John, being repeatedly raped by his captors, and then to ultimately come to the place of trusting Rodney with the very thing that had been the instrument of his torture - amazing.

I love it how Rodney is able to turn something that is utterly horrible for John into something he can enjoy. How he understands John on a level that must be absolutely reassuring for John.
And I love it how John is able to trust Rodney, and is willing after all his terrible experiences to give Rodney's ideas a try. And find out that giving (the) control (mechanism) to Rodney is what makes hims feel loved and happy.
