This is a tough one. Because what got me into MCR was the music, but now it's so much more than that to me. The one thing I'll always love MCR for was for the people it brought into my life, some of my closest and favorite people in the world to me, and I'll always love them for that. But the thing I love about MCR was seeing them live and coming home and thinking, "I am the happiest I have ever been in a very long time." That was the greatest feeling in the world.
Oh man, I definitely agree with this. Their live performances are just so great and seriously some of the best experiences I've ever had, simply because they leave me so feeling so happy and carefree.
For me, it was the music first. The people behind it are also fantastic human beings. Like you said, weird, hilarious, nerdy, talented and kind of fucked up. Because of them, I met some of my best friends and for this, I'll always be thankful.
i do love the music, of course, but by now mcr means so much more to me, to the point where i watch lotms when i'm feeling low. most cliched thing ever, but to me it is true: mcr saves lives. to me these guys are so inspiring and talented. not in a perfect way though. i love that they are imperfect and that it makes me feel like it is okay to be imperfect. i wouldn't say that they are my role models, but they certainly are an inspiration when i'm struggling and trying to find my way.
now i hope that once the album is out they'll go on a european tour as well somewhen, so that i can finally see them live.
