DISCUSSION POST: #4 Theories and new developments

The publicity machine appears to be gearing up for Warner/Reprise with several magazines and radio people reporting meetings with MCR to listen to the album. I will mark ALBUM TITLE SPOILERS in BOLD however the comments to this entry may contain spoilers, please be aware.

In the real world:
  • TomBry of Kerrang! Magazine got a chance to listen to the new album today. He made a series of tweets about it: DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS BELOW
    - So far new My Chemical Romance album v. futuristic, comic book-driven, storming and with lots of electro synth. 6 songs in, it's great. #mcr
    - #mcr album now into more classic territory, all sounds thrillingly on edge. Less flamboyance than Black Parade but more driving and urgent
    - New #mcr album is great: apocalyptic, conceptual, knife-edge, sometimes synth-heavy, violent. Punk-intentioned, simmering pop nous
    - He also replied to some questions, including one about the "pop" comment from Rolling Stone and another about a feature for MCR in an upcoming Kerrang! issue.
  • RockSound has a meeting to listen to the new album on Monday.
